DAFT LEFT PUNK

The original artwork was meticulously hand-drawn and etched into a copper plate using a hardground, rosin particle, and acid wash technique—a process that took approximately 52 hours to complete. Once the copper plate was finished, I transferred the image onto canvas using a combination of a hot plate, ink, and a press, bringing the design to life in its physical form.

To expand its accessibility, I digitally transferred the final piece, allowing for high-quality reproductions. Taking it a step further, I had the digital version CNC-milled into a 3' x 2' MDF board, transforming it into a large-scale woodblock for printing. This process not only preserved the intricate details of the original etching but also opened the door for bold, large-format prints.
